I've got an Eminence/Fender 12" speaker that came out of a Hot Rod Deluxe. It's a 50w ceramic. I've tried an Eminence alnico that's now discontiued and also a Weber 12A125O and a Celestion G12H30. The HRD speaker is considered to be a crappy speaker but I like it in my Clark 5E3. Tha alnicos break up to soon and aren't tight enough sounding in the low registers and the Celestion had too much low end and not enough highs. The HRD Emi/fender is the most balanced sounding too me. I gig with the amp so it's volumes are 10 Normal and 12 Bright and the tone is adjusted from 5 to 7 depending. The best thing is you can find those speakers cheap because most guy's hate em. I guess a lot of it depends on your skill as a player.
