Small world; I see you worked at my local Catholic Church.
Kidding, only a little bit. Before anyone whomps me about this, I am talking about the local work environment, not the religion itself. My old music director / secretary at that church quite literally got a brain aneyrism that nealy killed her, from the stess of working there. All of the above items occured there, plus a few others, like the pastor and other employees showing up drunk for work. She left a few years ago to save her health, and is much better now for it. I stopped attending church and quit the music ministry for many of the same reasons.
>> 6. In my company, you are not working unless you are IN the office, but when you are in, they ask why you are not out in the field, and when you are out in the field, they ask "what the eff are you doing?".

sounds like where I work, or at least the attitude of my recently promoted boss. He'd eye you suspiciously and accuse you of boondoggling if you returned to the office at 3:50pm (we close at 4pm). Then the next day he'd harass you about not being out working some other job, when you were at your desk doing paperwork to wrap the prior day's project. My coworker finally asked him, Well what time do you want me to return from the field? He never got a straight answer
