My wife's current situation is pretty bizarre. The boss has issues and the #1 priority for all the employees is to be her friend. My wife recently had it out with the boss and they had a sit down "lay it on the table" talk to exchange expectations from each other. My wife had a list of things like treating her with respect, recognizing her efforts, not berating her in public etc. The bosses requests, stop in and say hello to her in the morning and goodbye to her in the evening. Her request had nothing to with keeping tabs on her hours.
