Thanks for the solid info guys. I knew I could count on you to clear up that issue for me. I really love this guitar. It's a snappy player, and has great articulation in the high and low end (nice and boomy bass notes). I plugged it into my pro jr. and it made me like my amp much better. It's also been played for 18 years professionally for recording and gigs, so it has real world relicing going on.

The biggest surprise for me is that I like the vintage frets and the 7.5" radius. It's very comfortable for me and not as difficult to play on as I have heard. I may even prefer the frets to the 9.5" radius/medium jumbo on my 2006 MIM. This is the first time I don't have any guitar GAS. I am jonesing for a Dr. Z Z28 though. This thing really sings through those. I wouldn't be adverse to a BF or SF DR either.
