There's this golf club in Houston, Lochinvar. Swanky, nice, secluded. Membership is limited (or was in the '80's) to something like 300 members (and no women), so you never had trouble getting a tee time. The range balls there were all Titleist 1's with the club logo on them: all of them brand new. That's right--you hit a bucket of balls, they'd never been hit before, they'd never be hit again. Yearly dues were = (total yearly operating cost/number of members), payable in one lump sum, thank you very much.
That's my starting line for "exclusive".
