terry, i'd like to say how much i love your dvd, which i just got-- i can figure out the notes usually on my own, but a lot of roy for me is the musical conception, and the mechanics of how he moved around the neck, and your video, although obviously just your best guesses about where he played his ideas, is really helpful. also helpful to hear that roy played .011s--- with this knowledge, it's a lot easier to hear when it's roy and when it's not. it also helps validate my decision to use .011s.

and olewichita, thanks so much for posting all the info. i'm going to incorporate your work into my own, and i hope at some point to contribute to the ongoing effort to preserve roy's ideas for future pickers, in the form of transcriptions, showing people how to play his stuff, etc. i've already started stealing some of it for my own playing--
