I'm not a big fan of the Langcaster headstock either, but I apprecieate its theme and heritage. The body wood is ancient Kauri - some of it still has ancient kauri gum still attached! I think if he made a "normal" headstock he'd sell more, but like they say - any publicity is better than none.
Best of all, if someone rushes you on stage, you can quickly decapitate them before returning to your lead-break.
