Unfortunately, the opinions of others on all matters aural are worth, well, pretty much nothing. Only you will know what works, what doesn't. Yes, it's a krap shoot - same as with pickups and lotsa other guitar related stuff.

Bottom line, the PJ is gonna be lots better than that old stock speaker.
