Tubes amps only since the early eighties. I've forund them to be far more reliable than solid state amps.
And I don't change tubes very often, actually my 2000 Mesa Blue Angel has all stock tubes, rectifier and all and gigs nearly every weekend.
I do have spares though. Always.....
