I'm a longtime member of the Les Paul Forum. Good site at times, clearly a ton of great info, but IMHO, it is pretty elitist and there are more non-players there (or so it seems) than players and a lot of guys that buy into the internet hype-of-the-day to the point of silliness. I lost interest in that site years ago and went back when I got back into LPs and it hadn't improved. The Mylespaul site
http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/is MUCH better I think. Real players, pickup makers, knowledgeable collectors, etc without the attitudes.
Of course, I've been coming here since the original TDP site in 1996-it was the first site I ever registered on and guess where I go daily. I've also been a member of the Hamerfanclub
http://www.hamerfanclub.com since late 1996. Great guys and THE ONLY website to go for Hamer info (there are some cheap imitators out there). People here and there are what keeps me coming back.
