Just get a nice Tele that you're comfortable with and study his style, attack and phrasing.

i've spent many hours playing (well, approximating, anyway) robbie's parts while cranking the guitars kissing and the contemporary fix bootleg...that record (and tour) is absolutely the rawest, baddest rock 'n' roll i've ever heard...

(and one of my favorite things in all the world is watching bob and robbie playing acoustic in that hotel room...beautiful stuff...)

it's very cool to see you posting so much around here, by the way, but i fear that between you and cesar rosas, there isn't a single cool lefty guitar available in the greater L.A. area...

back in '85, my friend and i drove down from bakersfield to hunt for my first guitar, and we were told by no less than three shops (in the 'guitar center' neighborhood) that cesar rosas routinely went around and snatched up all the cool lefties...

anyway, i can't really hold it against him (or you, if you're as voracious a collector as he is), but i wasn't happy about it that day...i'd do the same, if i could afford it, and i can only imagine the lefty treasures in your music rooms...

finally, i'd be remiss if i didn't tell you how much i drool over this baby; i'm gonna try to save up for one, but i don't really know if it will ever happen...we shall see, but it's an absolutely gorgeous signature guitar (is it sacrilege to posts these pics?)...
