I gotta agree. I think Fender did do research, and found out that peolpe like the aged color of butterscotch, which by no accounts is orange. I'm sure there is a market for both, but think about most of the partscasters that are painted to look like the early 50's, most are painted the dark butterscotch and not the lite one they came with.

Makes perfect since to me.
