I am going to guess that there will be a slight increase in headroom, however I am not expecting too much there. We are not changing the power output of the amp or anything like that.
I do expect to get a bigger, fuller sound from the larger speaker and more bite on the low end. I think the 8" struggles to keep up with the amp, particularly after doing some of the mods mentioned here.
Anyone hooked the GA-5 up to a 12" cab? Maybe you can share your experience with us.
