hi folks,
i posted last week that i found a silverface pro reverb and bought it. it came back from the tech with some minor repairs and new tubes. i hauled the amp to the rehearsal-place and my mind got blown. this 2x12" clean sound that can be played on such an amp with the telecaster was for me like looking at the mount everst for the first time. took me 10 minutes to decide, that i need no overdrive pedal anymore. there is no way to hide behind the cruch, but that is no big deal. you just have to play less and let the soundscapes take place in the room. incredible. took me only 30 years to find this out. now i know why some folks take the pain of carrying heavy 2x12 fender amps around. i will get a handcart asap. it´s all worth it.
