If you want more clean, but a Twin is simply out due to weight, you could also get a Fender CVR or Custom Vibrolux Reverb-Amp. You have access to much more clean headroom, kinda like a Twin, but you do have hiss at idle and if you are a reverb hound, the CVR isn't a full dose of reverb unless modded.

I like my CVR a lot, but there's a Twin in the future as well. Something about a Twin.

I had a CVR amp in blonde tolex. I just wasn't impressed with it. Your right about the reverb. The other thing is that mine didn't take pedals very well. I had it retubed and it still sounded like crap. Maybe I just had a dog but then again it really wasn't a Vibroluxe either.
