sean79, that's what puzzles me, I have not seen any 1972 thinlines with 4 pots.

I had the pickguard off and looked but I cannot see evidence of any routing other than factory.
I have never seen under another tele pickgiard, would they normally have enough room to add additonal control pots?
Did the 1972 thinlines have the stratocaster type brdge saddles like this one?
