I'd been gassing months for one to leave in my place in Amsterdam after having seen the price (about half an AVRI) and read all the great press it gets on this forum.

So Saturday I went to my local geetar shop (Dijkman, for all you Amsterdammers) and after trying it for about 45 minutes, going for a walk and trying it again for another 45 minutes, I just had to give in...

Great guitar - mine's quite heavy, noticeably more so than my AVRI, but apart from that, I'm extremely pleased with it and the workmanship is high quality. The chunky neck, coupled with the 9.5" radius feels really comfortable in my hands and the tone is twang city. Very resonant unplugged and I understand now why the pickups are so well talked about. The neck pocket is tight and it stays nicely in tune. Apart from intonation, the set up was excellent. We'll see how long the S-1 switch resists...

Desert Sand with 1-ply white pickguard, it's definitely a keeper.
