If you want to know the type of neck finish on a Tribute G + L, look no further than the finish on a Squier, especially the Indonesian ones. So happens, the Indo Squiers and the Tributes are since early 2007 all made at the Cor-tek facility in Surubaya.
As for neck profile, nut width, radius, fret size and so forth, best to just say that G + L Tributes necks are across the board more generic than their US counterparts.
Suppose you have a US G + L that you would kill to protect, but now you are asked to play a seamy, rough place where the guitar may be needed for self defense.
Substitute a Tribute with the same basic body shape, same pickups and go play that rat-hole, and if someone steals the Tribute, go find another for $ 250.
Not the same really, but most audience types will never begin to know.
