I went to GC to try the Carbon Copy today.
The first one must of had the same Regen pot problem where it delayed once until the knob was at all the way up and then had many repeats.

The next one I tried worked correctly and I ended up buying it.
I compared it to an Ibanez AD9 while there and it sounded much better and also had a longer delay time. Granted this was GC and I had to have 2 other Ibanez pedals inline with the AD9, but it was enough of a difference to convince me it to get it.

I own an Echoplex EP3 that sounds incredible but needs constant maintenence so it is more of a recording delay. I used to own a DL4 which sounded ok to me, but was too big and I wasn't into lugging around a power supply or buying 4 "C" batteries.
Overall I think it sounds really good but not mind blowing (what is next to tape delay).
Also I like that it is compact and not the typical pink delay color.
