Wow, nice to hear there are so many folks here who are satisfied with their lives ... lucky bastids.

I grew up playing the trumpet in school, was good, NYSMA grade 6A (the highest possible ranking) - in High School I told my guidance counselor that I wanted to pursue music as a career. He told me, "Don't bother, you'll never get a job." So, I didn't ... he was a jacka**

Not making music my life's focus was the worst mistake I've ever made, and I regret it. Big time.
