I had a question for ya? Not guitar related, more along the lines of reptiles. What time of the year do baby snakes hatch in our area? I invented a fishing lure that looks like a baby snake and used it with great success last summer. I want to start using it right about the time that the water snakes are moving about...the babies that is.
Most colubrids hatch in July/August/early September, depending on how the weather is in a particular year. Here in Texas we tend to see snakes breeding as early as late April, though usually its May to early June. Depends on rains, heat, etc.

Your lure should be very effective in late summer, especially in southern Texas.
