I have a mod I do where you pull the tone knob for the neck pickup and it makes the WRHP a single coil and has sort of a Strat tone to it. It very easy on the MIM models because it has a 4 conductor pickup wire at the pickup.
The mod is cool because you can't see it, it's reversable, and it sounds cool.
You can start out a tune or lead in the single coil neck pickup mode and as your lead builds you push the pot down and end with some serious tone.
But it actually sounds great playing in the single coil neck sound
"A-la-Strat" and you can always push the pot back down and your back to stock.
