I have exactly the same experience. One of the guys I used to play with had a Keeley Modded Comp and TS-9. The Comp was always breaking down and the TS-9 didn't sound anywhere as good as the stock. But I have a 10 and 9 and they are both vintage. The Comp we actually sent back to Keeley to get it fixed and it lasted 2 weeks. Now don't get me wrong, I am not, repeat NOT slamming Keeley electronics. I think they do great work. But these were more than likely anomalies and not the standard.
