I have the NightFly SA, same body different neck. I believe the P series is made in Korea, when I bought my NightFly it was still made here.
Guitar is ok for what it is. I have found the stereo out to be a bit finicky. Hard to find a decent stereo y cable. Pickups are ok, but not great. On the other hand, you can get some cool sounds mixing the piezo and the mag pickups. Particularly if you send the piezo to an acoustic amp and the magnetic to a guitar amp.
I actually like the body shape, not had the issue with poking in the ribs.
At $300, seems like you can't go wrong. If you hate it, you should be able to sell for what you bought it for.
