The only problem I had was that when I changed the pots to 'full size' CTS pots then the tone wouldn't fit but I just sanded out the inside of the control route and it fixed that easily. And the pickup I had made for it wouldn't fit in the bridge, all the screws were offset a bit so I just bought a wilkinson bridge for it.
They're really nice guitars TBH, even stock it was a great player but I bought it specifically for that project. The necks are quite nice, the horrible headstock grows on you pretty quickly. Mine was more of a 60's C profile neck, almost exactly the same as the MIJ '62 reissue I had.
