My poor wife has serious problems with DVT and has to take Warfarin to prevent further clots. When we were pregnant she had to change to a different medication which meant injecting herself in the stomach everyday.
The poor gal was covered in bruises - a side effect of the medication is you bruise easily - and was bleeding like a stuck pig - another side effect.
Then there were the mood swings, vomitting and the addiction to the most fart producing foods imaginable; it was like living with an extra from Night of the Living Dead. And that was just me - she was worse.
Sadly we lost the baby - we're over that now but tough at the time - so we've got it all to look forward to again the next time and we wouldn't care just as long as we have a happy child.
