12th Fret Guitar Shop in Portland, Oregon. These guys are almost 100% repair oriented and do fabulous work on both acoustic and electric instruments. They are perennial favorites in this area and are frequently booked out for several weeks. Not cheap, but they always have my full confidence. Fret and setup work is especially good here.
As a measure of my personal faith in them, when I last bought a new Martin (an HD-28 in 1997) I didn't even take it home. It went straight to 12th Fret for setup and bone nut/saddle. It was going to happen anyway, why wait? Since then they have refretted that guitar and installed a Baggs pickup system, both just perfect.
I just recently had my 1982 52RI refretted for the second time at 12th Fret. Wow - what a terrific difference! Great work is found here.
