Hello everyone, When I was 16, I was playing an old Gibson 335, but my best friend got a '66 Tele for his birthday. I never forgot that guitar, and I have been smitten ever since, I came close to that tone with a couple of strats that I had over the years, but couldn't fully achieve the feel and the tone that I was after. I was crazy about Jim Messina's tone when he was with Poco, then later L&M and realized that a lot of the twang and tones could not happen any other way. So, I finally shopped and got an 07 MIM Tele, white on white, and I really love her. Playing my Tele is as natural as breathing to me, and I am surprized how much this guitar inspires me, to play long, and to try new things out musically. I haven't played a lot of different Teles like a lot of you have, but I sure like this one. I'm on my second set of strings with her now, and I think I'll stick with GHS 10-46. I tried Elixir 10-46 strings with this guitar, but didn't like the tone not enough twang!0
