With respect to the Music Mans - I used to use an RD112 - they are getting a bit long in the tooth by now, must would date from the 1980s. Reliability will become an issue soon if not already, and this must be factored in.

When I hear Music Mans now, I am struck by how mid-rangey they sound. A lot of volume and very little depth of tone. When I was much younger I thought I needed a lot of midrange, but I could no longer use an amp sound like that.
