Telechucker, IMHO Melbournians are some of the biggest music snobs on the planet! Crowds react very differently in Melbourne to the other cities around the country.
Sure it all depends on what music we're talking about here, but I've seen enough shows touring with bands, big and small to know that Melbourne expects more from an act.
Country music as far as I know in Melbourne is reserved for the more established performers and international acts. I wouldn't even begin to work out where a band would get a start playing country in Melbourne? Maybe that's why everyone goes to Tamworth?
