A friend of mine plays his electric thru a DI box into the PA system, he gets some good tones, was playing an Epiphone Les Paul that is bright sounding. I am looking for a small amp in the 1 to 2 hundred dollar range that would fit the bill. I'm thinking about getting another Peavey Envoy 110. 40 watts into a ten inch speaker, only reverb, MF has them for 199. I'm a country player that always liked ss better too for some reason. In the seventies, I had an Ampeg 30 watt with spring reverb that I loved. It's a shame that Ampeg only makes bass amps now, except for the jet. The new vibro champs with digital FX don't make sense, should have put spring reverb on them. As a kid, first set I had was a Fender mustang with a vibro champ, 1965, both were under $200, including a fancey Fender HS case for the mustang
