I haven't been inside a new Casino, but Epiphone has a blurb in the front of their current catalog about the parts that they're using--full-sized pots, an all-metal Chinese Switchcraft clone and alnico pickups. In the case of my 2005 Les Paul, the parts seem to be of very good quality.

This wasn't the case with my 1999 Sheraton, so from the Epiphones that I've seen the guts of, it seems that they're using better parts these days. My Les Paul hasn't needed a change, but I've only had it for a month.

Congrats on the Casino, they're super cool and I've had one on my wish list for some time now. I would be interested to hear your impressions of the guitar when you get it.
