And I was taking issue with you saying that "outside of this board" Brent was basically unknown. We have only met or communicated with twenty or so people from the tdpri versus the overwhelming and sometimes scary barrage of people he deals with and hears from on a daily basis (regardless of whether we are in Nashville or anyplace in the US or foreign soil) who are not part of this forum and have no idea it exists. Conservatively speaking he is recognized about 85 percent of the places he goes if it is a sporting event or an airport restroom. We just got back from St Petersburg - a guy working in Walgreens chased us through the store with a box of crayons he grabbed off a shelf and ripped open for Brent to sign one of his dollar bills from his pocket! Our kids hate to go out to eat with him because we are always "joined" by so many people who hang around our table and sit on the floor by him on their knees while he is trying to eat and they ask him all these crazy questions about what amp he used in 1993 on some song or whatever. This happens in Nashville or Vermont. Granted - Madonna and Jessica Simpson have it way worse, but it is a constant thing that happens everywhere he goes. He deals with it very graciously if I do say so myself.

Just because you ask random people if they have ever heard of him and they havent means nothing. Over on the Bad Dog Cafe there is a thread about the famous actor Heath Ledger passing away today (so sad). About half of the people who responded on the thread have no idea who he is and he was nominated for an Academy Award last year for Brokeback Mountain and has been famous for years. My oldest daughter plastered his posters all over her bedroom.

That's why I like it here. It's nice and peaceful and I can interact from time to time without things getting out of hand.
+1 on the gracious deal! We all know what Brent does w/ a guitar Not everyone knows he's just a really good guy too! We're all glad that you like it here Julie. Thankyou for hangin' with us!
