theres no crack and the break, if it is one, did not go all the through the neck, looks to be a piece of wood that was added, it`s less than 1/8 of an inch thick. The more I look at it the more it appears to me it was done at the factory and now evidently others like it have been seen. Whatever it is...I just couldn`t resisit it at $950.oo...they had it at $2000. oo two weeks ago and even then it was 50% list but I wasn`t willing to pay that much for it...$950.oo was more reasonable and even if I decide to sell it over here I`d get more than I paid, they are mad for Gibsons in Japan...but after a couple of days playing it, don`t think I can let it go now. Ain`t GAS a terrible thing.
