As the clamps get tighter, I start cleaning up the excess glue with a damp rag and a screwdriver. Keeps everything nice and neat.
The spool clamps keep a great pressure on the perimeter, while the cam clamps really squeeze the flat areas.
I'm using the template as a gluing caul, which helps keep everything flat and protects the work from clamp marks. It allows me to really crank the pressure on with no damage to the work
