Why do you want to change the speaker?
I was generally pleased with the sound of the amp. It was a little too bright sounding.
I modified the bass tone stack as per a web posting and the amp sounds much better.
Our group did a recording this past week and today I got a chance to listen to the tracks. I was blown away by the sound of the guitar/amp combination.
I am using an Epi 56 Gold top reissue. My Strat and Tele are sitting at home.
The tone mod lets more bass through at any setting and gets rid of the boxy sound. The cap cost about a buck $CDN, a lot cheaper than a speaker.
