I loved it - I love JS - great, wonderful player - many of his recordings in ongoing rotation here.
When I first heard and got into Sco was with his Blue Matter ('86/'87)record - great, mid-80's Fusion-y Funk-y Jazz - the sound of the recording was so warm and good, but these days, I like his more straight ahead playing over that of the MM&Wood and other like offerings (though I do have and dig A Go Go).
At that time ('86) I was 24 yrs old & gigging 5 nights a week playing (what's now referred to as) Classic Country, but I was listening/learning/digging Sco, Stern, Metheny and Carlton - most certainly those 4 cats had some deep impact on me as a player - as did the club stuff I was doing for a living.
Sco... beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Edit to say: I didn't hear anything wrong with it - no 'ouch' from me - sounded just like John Scofield.
