I bought a Fender coiled cord last year, but a different model with metal ends and a see-through blue jacket. It looked cool with my Agave Blue tele. The problem was the plug wasn't long enough to make contact with the jack, and the RA plug was too big to fit on my Boogie's input jack without blocking the footswitch jack.
I gave it to my father to use with his Agave Blue Jazz Bass, and he uses it all the time. It's dead quiet, too. No noise, and it doesn't get kinky like a phone cord. He pulls it out, works perfectly. They're fantastic for crowded stages.
Whenever I see one, it makes me think of all of the old pics of Hendrix.
