I have yet to find conclusive proof that it would do anything to improve the sound, so my Am Std is staying stock. Others have contrasting opinions but the whole tone argument seems dubious to me. If you do the change it would be mostly for cosmetic reasons. Just be glad you have a bridge that intones easily.

i definitely found it a worthwhile mod. and i agree, it did effect the tone, in a positive way.
