This is a well setup and great playing Epiphone Elitist Riviera, made in Japan at the Terada factory. The Elitist line has become almost legendary for quality that rivals the original Gibson made models on which they were based.
This Japanese made Riviera is solid, with better electronics and woods than the Korean models, and the hardware and wiring harness is American. American made mini-humbuckers as well.
The poly finish is much thinner than on the Korean made Sheraton II and Epiphone DOTS I owned in college.
My large hands can not get used to the slim taper neck. 0.800 to 0.865 at the 12th fre I usually go for the fuller Gibson '59 style, or Fender Broadcaster necks.
The guitar is currently setup with .011 gauge half round GHS strings (GHS 720's)
This Riviera had a Bigsby tremolo installed at one point. There were two very small holes in the top that have been professionally filled and are almost unnoticeable now. I have tried my best to capture these spots in the pictures.
If you do not use an instrument cable with a right angle plug, the stress from the cable on the input jack can sometimes make it a bit finicky. It still works, but if you play out often I would recommend replacing the output jack.
Knobs are silent, and the pickups set at the correct height. All of the parts are original and the original hardshell case and case candy are included.

It took me a couple of years top find this wider nut 1 11/16" neck Riviera, and it is a drag to have to sell it.
